Sligo’s pride, Westlife, have been in the business for ten years. Proof [if ever proof was needed] that the boys are ‘Unbreakable’!To date, they’ve had 14 UK number one singles. They’ve sold over 40 million records worldwide. Only the legendary Elvis Presley and The Beatles have had more chart-topping hits. But the lads, three of whom hail from Sligo, haven’t always been ‘Flying Without Wings’. In 2004, they had to battle against ‘Against All Odds’ when band member Brian McFadden walked out.But in the face of adversity, the remaining four really showed ‘What Makes A Man’! They will celebrate their anniversary with a sell-out gig at Dublin’s Croke Park in June.So from all at the Sligo Post: Well done lads! But we should hardly be surprised. In fact, you could say their ten years at the top was ‘Written In The Stars’!
